CAMPING RULES

Camping at the Showgrounds

  • Camping at the Showgrounds is THREE (3) weeks in and THREE (3) weeks out for Caravans, Motorhomes, Buses
  • Camping at the Showgrounds is ONE (1) week in and ONE (1) week out for Camper Trailers and Rooftop Tents
  • Campsites will be allocated by the Camping office or After-Hours team
  • If payment is not received by 10am day of departure a Late Payment Administration Fee of up to $50 may be charged.

To ensure you have the most relaxed and enjoyable stay possible, please respect other people’s space and property, and follow the few simple rules:

  • Caboolture Showgrounds is a work site and Event Centre, machinery, mowing, weed spraying and loud noise will be operating throughout the grounds – Speed limit is 10km. Please give way to all machinery
  • All vehicles/trailers are to be registered to be able to stay on the showgrounds.

Check In

  1. You Must NOT go to your site unless you have booked in at the Reception or with Camp Afterhours
  2. All Monies owed will be paid IN FULL prior to you occupying your site
  3. Sites are not available for occupancy before 10am unless you have prior approval from the Afterhours / Office team.

Check Out

  1. Check out time is no later than 10am. Failure to vacate your site by this time could result in an additional late fee charge.

Respect – FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EVICTION, NO WARNING

  1. Show respect to fellow campers and our office/grounds team
  2. No verbal or physical abuse will be tolerated
  3. No discrimination or illegal activity will be accepted
  4. No vandalism or destruction of property on the grounds

The below park rules must be adhered to. Failure to follow these rules will result in one (1) letter of warning. The second breach will result in being asked to immediately vacate the premises. Any costs associated with removal will be at your own expense.

Noise

  1. There is a noise curfew of 7pm. Please consider others and remember voices carry at night
  2. Early noise: it would be appreciated if noise can be restricted until 8am
  3. Generators can be used between 8am and 7pm.

Toilet Blocks

  1. Children under the age of 13 are to be accompanied by a parent at all times
  2. Parents are responsible for their children’s behaviour
  3. All of this area is a smoke free zone including Laundry.

Chemical Dump Site

  1. This is located at the northern end of the toilet block.

Pets

  1. Pets are welcome. However, all animals must be kept on a lead at all times. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet to avoid inconvenience to other campers and you must never leave your pet unattended.
  2. Pets are strictly not permitted in the amenities block – no exceptions!
  3. Please refer to our Pet Policy for more information.

Responsibilities

  1. Parents are responsible for controlling and supervising the behaviour of their children, for their own safety and comfort of others
  2. Campers use the facilities at their own risk. No responsibility will be taken by Management for any loss or damage to people’s property or equipment
  3. Children 13 and under, must be accompanied by an adult or a responsible guardian when using the toilets.

Rubbish

  1. Please place all rubbish in the industrial bin provided opposite the amenities block. Please note this is only for household waste. Any additional rubbish needs to be disposed of at the Local Refuse Station.

Sites

  1. Please keep sites clean and tidy at all times.
  2. Please check that all hose fittings are fitted correctly and not leaking.
  3. Please check that all power leads and connections can’t get wet
  4. You must ensure that all your belongings fit within site markers.

Pet & Aggressive Pet Policy

At Caboolture Showgrounds, we welcome pets, but the safety and enjoyment of all guests are our top priority. We ask that all pet owners act responsibly, be considerate of others, and remain aware of their surroundings while on the grounds. The following policy applies to all pets staying at the Showgrounds and is designed to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all:

GENERAL PET POLICY:

  1. Acceptance of Pets:
    • All pets must be registered with the Office or Caretaker upon arrival. Acceptance of pets is at the discretion of management.
  2. Restraint Requirements:
    • All pets (large or small) must be kept on a hand leash at all times while walking within the Showgrounds.
    • The leash must not exceed two metres in length.
    • All pets must be securely chained or caged within the owner’s designated campsite.
  3. Pet Care:
    • Pet owners are fully responsible for picking up and disposing of their pet’s waste immediately. Waste must be placed in a rubbish bin. Owners must keep their sites free from pet waste at all times.
    • Pets must be either short-length chained or caged when unattended to minimize the risk of incidents. Pets left unchained or unsecured and causing a nuisance will result in the pet owner being asked to leave the premises.
  4. Pet Restrictions:
    • Pets are NOT permitted inside the amenities blocks or shade shelter at any time, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.
  5. Noise Control:
    • Pet owners must keep their pets’ barking or noise under control to ensure the comfort of others nearby.
  6. Pet Owner Liability:
    • Pet owners agree to take full responsibility for any personal injury or damage caused by their pet while on the Showgrounds. Pet owners must pay for any claims of compensation arising from their pet’s actions.

AGGRESSIVE PET POLICY:

  1. Zero Tolerance for Aggression:
    • Aggressive behaviour, including attempted attacks (such as growling, lunging, snapping, or biting), will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances. Any pet involved in aggression, or exhibiting behaviour that threatens the safety or well-being of others, will be immediately removed from the Showgrounds.
    • In the event of an attempted attack, the pet will be removed immediately, and the owner must vacate the premises within 30 minutes. No refunds will be issued.
  2. Owner Responsibility for Aggressive Behaviour:
    • Owners are responsible for ensuring their pets are under control at all times. If a pet is found to be threatening or aggressive, it will be removed without warning, and the owner will be asked to leave.
    • Pet owners must ensure their pets are appropriately socialised and have a temperament suitable for a public campground setting.
  3. Management’s Right to Assess:
    • Campground management reserves the right to assess the situation and make an immediate decision based on the behaviour witnessed. If a pet is deemed to pose a risk to others, the owner will be asked to leave without appeal.
  4. Breed and Size Restrictions:
    • Certain aggressive breeds or pets with known aggression issues may be prohibited from the Showgrounds. This policy is designed to protect all guests, including other pets and staff members.
  5. Consequences for Multiple Incidents:
    • Multiple incidents of aggression or attempted attacks will result in permanent eviction, and a lifetime ban and surrounding Showgrounds with be informed of severe incidents.

By entering the Caboolture Showgrounds, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the above Pet and Aggressive Pet Policies. Non-compliance with any of these policies will result in immediate action, including possible eviction from the Showgrounds.

THESE RULES ARE IN PLACE FOR THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF ALL PATRONS OF THE PARK. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES COULD RESULT IN EVICTION FROM THE PARK WITHOUT REFUND AND REENTRY IN THE FUTURE REFUSED.

THE REGISTERED OCCUPANT OF A SITE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THEIR PARTY AND ANY GUESTS.
