Camping and Pet Policy

Overview

To ensure a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all campers, please adhere to the following policies regarding camping at the Caboolture Showgrounds.

Camping Policy

Camping Duration
Caravans, Motorhomes, Buses: 3 weeks in/out.
Camper Trailers, Rooftop Tents: 1 week in/out.

Campsite Allocation
• All campsites will be assigned by the Camping Office or After-Hours Camp Caretaker.
Note: If payment is not received by 10 AM on the day of departure, a Late Payment Administration Fee of up to $50 may be charged.

General Rules for a Relaxed Stay
• Caboolture Showgrounds operates as a work site and Event Centre; expect the presence of machinery, mowing, weed spraying, and loud noise.
Speed Limit: 10 km/h. Please give way to all machinery.
• All vehicles and trailers must be registered to remain on the grounds.

Check-In Procedures
1. Booking: You must check in at the reception or with the Camp Caretaker before accessing your site.
2. Payment: All fees must be paid in full prior to occupying your site.
3. Occupancy Time: Sites are available after 10 AM unless prior approval has been granted.

Check-Out Procedures
• Check-out time is no later than 10 AM.
• Failure to vacate your site on time may result in an additional late fee.

Respect and Conduct
Immediate Eviction: Any violation of the following conduct rules will result in immediate eviction, with no prior warning.
— Show respect for fellow campers and staff.
— No verbal or physical abuse will be tolerated.
— Discrimination or illegal activity is strictly prohibited.
— Vandalism or destruction of property is not allowed.

Noise Regulations
1. Curfew: Noise should be minimized after 7 PM.
2. Quiet Hours: Please limit noise until 8 AM.
3. Generators: Allowed between 8 AM and 7 PM.

Toilet Block Etiquette
• Children under 13 must be always accompanied by a parent/guardian
• All showground facilities are smoke-free zones.

Responsibilities
• Parents are responsible for supervising their children's safety and behaviour.
• Campers use facilities at their own risk; Management is not responsible for property loss or damage.

Rubbish Disposal
• Place rubbish in the designated industrial bin across from the amenities block. Additional waste must be taken to the Local Refuse Station.

Camper Site Maintenance
• Keep campsites clean and tidy.
• Ensure all hose fittings are secure and leak-free.
• Check that all power leads and connections are safe from water exposure.

General Pet Policy

At Caboolture Showgrounds, we welcome pets, but the safety and enjoyment of all guests are our top priority. We ask that all pet owners act responsibly, be considerate of others, and remain aware of their surroundings while on the grounds. The following policy applies to all pets staying at the Showgrounds and is designed to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all:

Acceptance of Pets:
• All pets must be registered with the Office or Caretaker upon arrival. Acceptance of pets is at the discretion of management.

Restraint Requirements:
• All pets (large or small) must be kept on a hand leash at all times while walking within the Showgrounds.
• The leash must not exceed two metres in length.
• All pets must be securely chained or caged within the owner's designated campsite.

Pet Care:
Pet owners are fully responsible for picking up and disposing of their pet’s waste immediately. Waste must be placed in a rubbish bin. Owners must keep their sites free from pet waste at all times.
• Pets must be either short-length chained or caged when unattended to minimize the risk of incidents. Pets left unchained or unsecured and causing a nuisance will result in the pet owner being asked to leave the premises.

Pet Restrictions:
• Pets are NOT permitted inside the amenities blocks or shade shelter at any time, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.

Noise Control:
• Pet owners must keep their pets’ barking or noise under control to ensure the comfort of others nearby.

Pet Owner Liability:
• Pet owners agree to take full responsibility for any personal injury or damage caused by their pet while on the Showgrounds. Pet owners must pay for any claims of compensation arising from their pet’s actions.

Aggressive Pet Policy

Zero Tolerance for Aggression:
Aggressive behaviour, including attempted attacks (such as growling, lunging, snapping, or biting), will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances. Any pet involved in aggression, or exhibiting behaviour that threatens the safety or well-being of others, will be immediately removed from the Showgrounds.
• In the event of an attempted attack, the pet will be removed immediately, and the owner must vacate the premises within 30 minutes. No refunds will be issued.

Owner Responsibility for Aggressive Behaviour:
• Owners are responsible for ensuring their pets are under control at all times. If a pet is found to be threatening or aggressive, it will be removed without warning, and the owner will be asked to leave.
• Pet owners must ensure their pets are appropriately socialised and have a temperament suitable for a public campground setting.

Management’s Right to Assess:
• Campground management reserves the right to assess the situation and make an immediate decision based on the behaviour witnessed. If a pet is deemed to pose a risk to others, the owner will be asked to leave without appeal.

Breed and Size Restrictions:
• Certain aggressive breeds or pets with known aggression issues may be prohibited from the Showgrounds. This policy is designed to protect all guests, including other pets and staff members.

Consequences for Multiple Incidents:
Multiple incidents of aggression or attempted attacks will result in permanent eviction, and a lifetime ban and surrounding Showgrounds with be informed of severe incidents.

By entering the Caboolture Showgrounds, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the above Pet and Aggressive Pet Policies. Non-compliance with any of these policies will result in immediate action, including possible eviction from the Showgrounds. Important Notice

These rules are in place for the safety and security of all patrons. Noncompliance may result in eviction without refund, and re-entry may be denied. The registered occupant is responsible for all members of their party. Please respect other campers, look out for one another, and report any suspicious behaviour.
